The AI Maturity Model

tl;dr
Where is your business on the AI maturity spectrum? Five levels from tourist to operator.
The ai maturity model business assessment tells you exactly where you are and what comes next. Five levels. Be honest about where you stand.
Level 1: Tourist
You have AI subscriptions. You use them occasionally. Nothing connects to anything. No data flows. No automation. Your team uses AI differently depending on who you ask.
Most businesses are here. It is fine as a starting point. It is not fine as a destination.
Level 2: Experimenter
You have built a few automations. Maybe a Zapier workflow or two. Some processes are partially automated. You have seen what is possible but have not committed to building infrastructure.
The risk at this level is stalling. The experiments worked but nobody invested in scaling them.
Level 3: Builder
You have connected systems. Data flows between tools automatically. AI handles specific functions like reporting, lead scoring, or campaign monitoring. You are saving measurable time and money.
This is where compounding starts. Each new piece you add makes the existing pieces more valuable.
Level 4: Integrator
Your AI systems talk to each other across functions. Marketing data informs sales. Sales data informs operations. Everything connects through a central intelligence layer. Decisions are data-driven by default.
Few businesses reach this level. The ones that do operate at a fundamentally different speed.
Level 5: Operator
One person or a tiny team runs operations that used to require departments. AI handles execution, monitoring, and routine decisions. Humans handle strategy, relationships, and judgment. The system gets smarter every day through feedback loops.
This is the destination. Not because it is trendy. Because it is the most effective way to run a business.
Moving Up
Each level requires different work. Level 1 to 2 requires building your first automation. Level 2 to 3 requires connecting systems. Level 3 to 4 requires cross-functional integration. Level 4 to 5 requires feedback loops and autonomous operations.
You cannot skip levels. But you can move through them faster by knowing where you are heading.
Where are you today? What is the one thing that moves you to the next level? Start there.
