Document Analysis

Feed Claude a 30-page contract, a quarterly report, or a competitor's marketing materials, and it processes the full document without losing context. Ask it to extract key terms, identify risks, summarize by section, or compare against a checklist.

I use Claude to analyze client reports before meetings. Instead of spending 45 minutes reading through performance data, I get a structured summary with the three things that matter most highlighted.

Strategic Analysis

Claude excels at frameworks. Give it your business data and ask it to run a SWOT analysis, a Porter's Five Forces analysis, or a value chain assessment. It will not just fill in the boxes. It will make connections between the sections that a template-based approach misses.

The key is providing real data, not asking for a generic analysis. "Analyze the competitive landscape for a marketing agency serving dental practices in the UK" plus your actual client list, pricing, and win/loss data produces genuinely useful output.

Process Mapping

Describe a business process to Claude and ask it to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and automation opportunities. It thinks through the process systematically and flags things you might miss because you are too close to the work.

For recurring analysis, build a system prompt that includes your business context, your analytical framework, and your preferred output format. This turns Claude from a general tool into a business-specific analyst that knows your industry, your metrics, and your standards.
