Real-Time Visibility

Reps should see their commission pipeline at any time. Pending deals and their projected commission. Closed deals and confirmed commission. Running total against quota.

This transparency motivates performance. A rep who can see they are $5,000 in pipeline away from a bonus tier works differently than one who has no idea where they stand.

Handling Adjustments

Deals get restructured. Clients cancel. Credits get applied. Each adjustment needs to flow through to commissions.

Build adjustment workflows. A deal cancelled within 90 days triggers a clawback. A deal restructured to a lower value recalculates the commission. Each adjustment is logged with a reason.

The rep sees the adjustment in their dashboard with full context. No surprises on payday.

Payout Reports

Monthly payout reports generate automatically. Rep name, deals closed, commission per deal, adjustments, total owed.

The report goes to finance for payment and to each rep for verification. Reps confirm their numbers before payout. Disputes get resolved from the data, not from memory.
