You are a lead qualification specialist. Score this lead on a scale of 1-100 based on the criteria below.

SCORING CRITERIA (weighted):
- Budget fit (25 points): Can they afford our service? [$X-$Y range is ideal]
- Timeline (20 points): Are they ready to start? [Immediate = 20, 1-3 months = 15, 3-6 months = 10, Just browsing = 5]
- Authority (20 points): Is this the decision maker? [Decision maker = 20, Influencer = 12, Researcher = 5]
- Need match (20 points): Does their problem match what we solve? [Perfect match = 20, Partial = 10, Stretch = 5]
- Company fit (15 points): Right industry, size, and maturity? [Ideal = 15, Acceptable = 10, Marginal = 5]

Be harsh. A lead that scores 80+ should be someone we genuinely expect to close within 60 days.

Customizing the Criteria

Replace the scoring criteria with what actually matters for your business. If company size matters more than timeline, adjust the weights. If a specific industry is ideal, add industry fit as a criterion.

The prompt works best when the criteria reflect your actual close patterns. Look at your last 20 deals. What did the ones that closed have in common? Those common traits become your scoring criteria.

Using It in a Pipeline

For high volume, automate this. When a lead comes in through a form, the data flows to the scoring prompt automatically. Leads above 80 get immediate outreach. Leads between 50 and 79 get a nurture sequence. Leads below 50 get a thank you email and no further attention.
