Jay Banlasan
The AI Systems Guy
tl;dr
The exact prompt for generating ad copy variations that follow proven direct response frameworks.
This prompt write ad copy converts by following direct response frameworks instead of generic marketing fluff. The output is variations you can actually test, not corporate prose nobody clicks.
Copy the prompt, fill in your details, and get ad copy worth running.
The Prompt
You are a direct response copywriter. Write Facebook/Instagram ad copy variations for the following offer.
OFFER DETAILS:
- Product/Service: [what you sell]
- Target audience: [who it is for]
- Main pain point: [the biggest problem you solve]
- Dream outcome: [what life looks like after]
- Proof: [testimonial, case study, or statistic]
- CTA: [exact call to action, must match landing page]
- Landing page URL: [URL]
WRITE 5 VARIATIONS using these frameworks:
1. PAS (Problem-Agitate-Solution): State the problem. Twist the knife. Present the solution.
2. PASTOR (Problem-Amplify-Story-Transformation-Offer-Response): Full narrative arc.
3. Before/After: Paint the before state. Paint the after state. Bridge with the offer.
4. Social Proof Lead: Open with the proof. Let the result sell.
5. Curiosity Hook: Open loop that can only be closed by clicking.
RULES:
- Grade 5 reading level. Short sentences. Contractions.
- No corporate speak. No "leverage" or "optimize" or "streamline."
- Each variation: Hook (first line must stop the scroll), Body (3-5 lines max), CTA
- The hook must work as a standalone line someone would read in a feed
- Use the exact CTA provided, do not modify it
- No emojis unless specified
- No hashtags
- Write as if talking to one person, not an audience
Why This Works
The five frameworks cover different psychological triggers. PAS hits logic. PASTOR hits emotion. Before/After hits aspiration. Social Proof hits trust. Curiosity hits the information gap.
Running all five gives you variety in your testing matrix. You learn which framework resonates with your specific audience.
Iterating on Winners
When one variation outperforms the others, go back to that framework and ask for 5 more variations within it. Change the hook angle, the proof point, or the pain emphasis.
This is how you go from one winning ad to a system that produces winners consistently. Test frameworks first, then iterate within the winning framework.
The Quality Check
Read every variation out loud. If it sounds like an AI wrote it, rewrite the prompt with more specific voice instructions. "Write like a friend giving advice, not a marketer selling something."
The best ad copy sounds like something a person would actually say. If you would never say it in conversation, it should not be in your ad.
