Merge fields are not personalization. "Hi {first_name}, I noticed your company {company_name} is in the {industry} space." Everyone sees through that. Ai cold email personalization goes deeper. It researches each prospect and writes an email that references something specific to them.

The recipient should think you spent 10 minutes researching them. You spent 10 seconds.

The Research Layer

For each prospect, AI pulls publicly available information. Their LinkedIn posts, company website, recent news mentions, job postings. This takes seconds per prospect when automated.

From that research, AI identifies a hook. Something specific to reference in the opening line. A recent hire, a new product launch, a LinkedIn post they wrote, a challenge their industry is facing.

The Email Structure

Line 1: The personal hook. "Saw your post about struggling to fill your analytics role for 3 months." This proves you did your homework.

Line 2: The bridge. Connect their situation to what you do. "That is exactly the kind of bottleneck we eliminate with AI-powered operations."

Line 3: The proof. One sentence showing you have done this before. "We helped a similar agency cut reporting time from 8 hours to 20 minutes weekly."

Line 4: The ask. Low friction. "Would a 15-minute call this week make sense to see if we can help?"

Four lines. No fluff. Personalized where it counts.

Scaling Without Losing Quality

The research step is the bottleneck. Automate it. A script visits each prospect's LinkedIn profile (within API terms) and recent company pages, then feeds the data to AI for the hook.

Quality check: read every email before sending. Or at least spot-check a random 20%. One bad email from automation does more damage than no email at all.

Response Handling

When they reply, AI drafts a response based on what they said and your offering. But never auto-send responses. The first email can be semi-automated. The conversation should be human.

The Numbers
