Some competitors use dynamic pricing or personalized pages. For these, run the check from a clean browser session without cookies. Check from multiple geographic locations if their pricing varies by region.
Store every capture with a timestamp. This builds a pricing history you can analyze for trends.
The Alert and Analysis
When a price change is detected, the alert includes: what changed, the old price, the new price, and an AI analysis of the likely strategy behind the change.
"Competitor X dropped their starter plan from $49 to $29. This likely targets price-sensitive customers in your pipeline. Consider: do nothing (if your value proposition justifies the premium), create a comparable tier, or emphasize your additional features at the current price."
That analysis arrives before you even knew something changed. You have time to think and respond strategically rather than reactively.

Beyond individual alerts, compile a monthly summary. How does your pricing compare to the market? Where are you premium? Where are you below market? What trends are emerging?
