The AI Systems Guy

tl;dr

Get a detailed CRO audit of your website with specific changes prioritized by expected impact.

Hiring a CRO agency costs $5,000 to $15,000 for an audit. Many of the same observations can come from a well-structured AI analysis of your website. Not all of them, but enough to find the quick wins that move your conversion rate.

This prompt gives you a structured CRO audit. Use it to prompt analyze website conversion optimization opportunities before spending money on consultants.

The Prompt

Analyze this website for conversion optimization. I will describe the page or paste the page content.

WEBSITE URL: [URL]
PAGE TYPE: [Homepage, landing page, product page, pricing page]
PRIMARY GOAL: [What should visitors do? Book a call, buy, sign up, download]
CURRENT CONVERSION RATE: [If known]
TRAFFIC SOURCE: [Where visitors come from - ads, organic, referral]
TARGET AUDIENCE: [Who visits this page]

PAGE CONTENT:
[Paste the full page text, or describe the layout section by section]

Analyze using this framework:

1. FIRST IMPRESSION (above the fold)
   - Is the value proposition clear within 5 seconds?
   - Does the headline speak to the visitor's problem or desired outcome?
   - Is there a clear call to action visible without scrolling?
   - Score: 1-10 with specific fixes

2. TRUST AND CREDIBILITY
   - Social proof present? (testimonials, logos, case studies, numbers)
   - Credibility indicators? (certifications, press, awards)
   - What is missing that would increase trust?
   - Score: 1-10 with specific fixes

3. COPY ANALYSIS
   - Is it benefit-focused or feature-focused?
   - Reading level (should be Grade 5-8 for most audiences)
   - Does it address objections before the CTA?
   - Are there power words or is it flat?
   - Score: 1-10 with specific rewrites for weak sections

4. CALL TO ACTION
   - Is the CTA clear and specific? ("Get Your Free Audit" beats "Submit")
   - How many CTAs compete for attention?
   - Is there a secondary CTA for people not ready for the primary?
   - Score: 1-10 with specific fixes

5. FRICTION POINTS
   - What would make a visitor hesitate or leave?
   - Are there unnecessary form fields?
   - Is pricing clear or hidden?
   - Any confusing navigation or dead ends?

6. PRIORITY RECOMMENDATIONS
   - Top 3 changes ranked by expected impact
   - For each: what to change, why, and estimated impact (low/medium/high)
   - One "quick win" that can be implemented today

What This Catches and What It Misses

AI catches structural issues: weak headlines, missing trust elements, unclear CTAs, friction in the conversion path. These are the fundamentals that most websites get wrong.

AI misses: visual design issues (unless you describe the layout), page speed problems, mobile-specific issues, and heatmap-level behavioral insights. For those, you need actual analytics tools.

Running This Effectively

Do it for every page in your conversion funnel, not just the landing page. The homepage, the pricing page, the checkout flow, and the thank-you page. Each one has its own optimization opportunities.

Fix the highest-impact recommendation first. Test it. Measure the result. Then move to the next one. Sequential testing tells you what actually worked.
